A man of integrity, Hendricks Insurance Agency, Inc. was established in the 1960's by Blaine Hendricks. His expertise began as an insurance adjuster for North Star Mutual Insurance Company, where he traveled the state of Minnesota adjusting claims. Eventually with his growing knowledge, he established his own agency, writing insurance from his home office.
In 1966, with a commitment to his community and a drive to better serve his customers, Blaine and his wife Dorothy transitioned the agency to its current location at 215 Central Avenue in Osakis, MN.
In 1991, Michael and Barb Bowman took over management of the family agency and eventually purchased the business. In January 2025, Jordan Harth continued that tradition by purchasing Hendricks Insurance Agency from Mike, keeping the same friendly, personalized service the community has always known. Jordan has been with Hendricks Insurance since 2007— which means he's been here long enough for our customers to watch his hair go from its original color to what we like to call&distinguished insurance professional gray. A lifelong part of the community, Jordan was raised in Osakis and is proud to be an Osakis High School alumnus.
In January 2025, Jordan took the next step and purchased Hendricks Insurance from Mike, continuing the tradition of providing friendly, personalized insurance service to the community. Jordan is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance. He is also MNsure certified and specializes in helping people of all ages find the right health insurance coverage.
Outside the office, Jordan and his wife Kristy stay busy raising their two children. When he's not working, you'll likely find him golfing, boating, or enjoying just about anything outdoors.

Mike has been in the insurance business since 1991, when he took over managing the business from Blaine "Hendricks." After more than three decades in the insurance world, Mike officially retired-but retirement apparently doesn't mean staying away from the office! You can still find him around Hendricks Insurance from time to time, making sure everyone knows how things are supposed to be done.
Mike specializes in farm, commercial, and small-group health insurance, and after all these years, he has pretty much seen it all. If there's an insurance question he can't answer, we're not sure there is one!
Mike and his wife, Barb, have two daughters and are loving their role as grandparents. These days, spending time with the grandkids is at the top of the list-although we're guessing Mike still finds time for a little golfing, fishing, and hunting whenever he gets the chance.
We're thankful for the many years Mike has poured into Hendricks Insurance and the community. And while he may be retired, we know where to find him if we need an expert opinion...just look around the office!

Jacqui Schmidtbauer joined Hendricks Insurance Agency in late 2025 after owning and operating J Decor 54. As a small business owner, she understands the importance of building relationships, providing exceptional customer service, and helping people feel confident in the decisions they make.
Jacqui has always appreciated the close-knit communities that make central Minnesota such a wonderful place to live and work. She enjoys getting to know clients on a personal level and believes the best part of her job is helping people find coverage that fits their lives while making the insurance process easy to understand.
Outside of work, Jacqui enjoys spending time with her family. Jacqui is married to Mark Schmidtbauer and together they have 3 children. Jacqui also enjoys decorating and tackling home improvement projects, shopping local, and making the most of Minnesota's beautiful seasons. Whether she's attending community events or enjoying a relaxing weekend at the lake, she values the connections that come with living in a small town.

Heidi joined Hendricks Insurance Agency in January 2025 and was pretty excited to find a job where knowing half the town is actually considered a job qualification! Born and raised in Osakis, Heidi has always called this community home. She enjoys working with people she knows, meeting new faces, and helping make insurance just a little less confusing-because let's be honest, nobody gets excited about reading an insurance policy for tun.
When Heidi isn't at the office, she's busy being a mom to Austin, Avery, and bonus son Andrew. With two in college and the others keeping busy with school activities and sports, Heidi has perfected the art of being in multiple places at once. You'll often find her in the stands cheering them on, traveling to games and events, and wondering how the kids managed to get so busy!
When she actually gets a little downtime, Heidi enjoys spending time with family and friends, curling up with a good book, and enjoying all the things that make small-town life special.

A trusted team member since 2021, Karl brings thoughtful and detail-oriented skills to our office and offers customers services with their best interests in mind. With his licenses in crop, casualty, life, property, accident, and health insurance, he helps customers achieve peace of mind for their belongings, livelihood, and loved ones.
Karl grew up living and working in agriculture on his family's poultry farm and processing plant, observing firsthand the challenges and risks farmers face each year. He believes in personalized policies rather than one-size-fits-all solutions, taking the time to make sure customers understand their coverage options.
Though Karl loves the work he does at the office, his home is where his heart lies. He keeps busy as a backyard golf instructor, grill master, bedtime story narrator, maintenance man, and pontoon navigator for his wife and two daughters. His free time is spent closely with family and friends, hunting birds with his dog, or chasing a ball at the golf course. He enjoys meeting new people and socializing within the community.
